Welcome to La Jolla

La Jolla stretches 7 miles along the northwest coast of San Diego. It is known for luxury charm and picturesque views. Offering a rich history and inspiring Dr. Seuss story books, it’s called San Diego’s Jewel of The Sea.  Many tourists and locals alike find themselves in La Jolla to escape the hustle and bustle of San Diego. La Jolla encompases several areas, the most talked about are The Village, La Jolla Shores, and Bird Rock.

The Village is the heart and downtown business district of La Jolla. The streets are lined with luxurious hotels, museums, art galleries, and restaurants. Home to La Jolla Cove, where you can find seals and sea lions basking in the sun, makes The Village a favorite amongst visitors.

La Jolla Shores can be seen just north from The Village. Choose from endless activities such as kayaking through La Jolla caves, snorkeling along side seals and other wildlife, or taking surf lessons. For leisure wind down and relax on the beach.

Bird Rock is a unique area nestled on the southernmost part of La Jolla. Bird Rock is a mix between residences and businesses. It boasts charm with plenty of boutique shops and places to dine. Although it does not have a beach you are a short bike ride to Windansea Beach, a favorite among locals.

Take in the views from the infamous trails and look-out points at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve. Enjoy a round of golf at world-renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course. Famous professionals such as Tiger Woods grew up competing and golfing at Torrey Pines Golf Course. Fun fact, the name derived from a rare tree that only grows along the San Diego coastline.

La Jolla offers an upscale lifestyle making the real estate consist of large, multi-million dollar homes and condos. Although it is popular amongst many retirees for its slower pace and beautiful landscape, many families reside here. Due to the topography, split level homes are very prevalent in La Jolla. Other architecture styles are ranch style and Spanish style homes.
